Didnt post much lately but I am in Morocco now. I did a searchtrip down south of Agadir with some dutch surfers. Coen Murk, Erik RingelBerg & Kaspar Hamminga were there for the action. It proved to be a keeper….

Today I had some free time and the charts looked good. Since I didnt do any surfphotography in The Netherlands I decided to spend the time taking photos either from land or water. I drove up to the ‘westland’ this morning to find some good waves but none were found. At twelve o’clock we decided to stick to ‘Scheveningen Zuid’ since wind wouldnt die off! Boys in the water were: Yannick de Jager, Johan de Niet, Hans van den Broek, Kasper Boonstra, Jordie de Koning and some other locals. By the end of the day I made 612 photos (8Gigabyte). I have to do a lot of postprocessing so please check back later this week!

Last friday I had to pick up some stuff that I had forgotten. It was a bit of a hassle to get back to where I left the items so I decided to make the most of it and practice out my Nightphotography. I love doing this when the weather in Holland allows it. That evening there would be no rain and winds would be low. I geared out and setted a route and the result can be found here. Personally I think a few photos are really a stand out! Feel free to drop some comments & critiques.

Out of 365 days a year I had to start my new job on monday the 5th of october. I had a lot of fun as a teacher at a primary school but I proberly missed the best day of the year 2009. I just got to the beach to shoot this photo. Lets just hope we get more days in the future like these!

As stated before I’m still working on a surfmovie project concerning surfing in The Netherlands. Unfortunatly I still cant say anything more about it, neither can I show any work that has been done so far. What I can say is that I teamed up with some fine people that love their work and make quality products. One of these fine people are the guys behind the company www.revolver.nl. The guys that work down there did some outstanding work in the past. One of their previous projects was a movie about a Gang called Crips. This movie will be showed on national television in The Netherlands. I say, go check it out!

The Hague – Last sunday I’ve arrived back home after a week of photography in Mimizan. The week was full of lot’s of fun, photography and of course some surfing. Unfortunatly not even half of the Dutch O’neill team was there to shoot some good photos. Only Pascal van der Mast & Emiel Tromp were there to do the job. We had lot’s fun and brought back some nice photos back to The Netherlands. Most photos were taken with my Sigma 100-300mm F4.0 that had some backup from my new Sigma TC 1.4. My first impression is: its okay, but I lost some good photos too! Next to that I got back with a broken pistol trigger but SPL is looking into that!. Lucky me! More about the Oneill trip later on!
Upcoming weekend looks promising for some good surf. Especially sunday morning should be quite good for Dutch Standards. I will be taking some photos that day but location & everything is yet to be set. From the 14th of august untill the 22th of august i will be doing a phototrip with the O’neill junior team in France. We will be shooting mostly surfphotography in the area of Mimizan, Moliets & Hossegor. I will be traveling with the Dutch Junior team. Those who will be there are: Pascal van der Mast, Martine Geijssels, Joost Freke and Emiel Tromp. Last month I was there with the Body Glove team the sandbanks were quite good and I just hope we can do some nice surfphotography.
